The app
Keyflip is a menu bar app that switches your Mac's keyboard layout when a keyboard connects or disconnects.
- It doesn't collect or send anything. Keyflip has no network access at all, so it can't send data anywhere, to us or to anyone else.
- It never reads what you type. It only notices which keyboards are connected. That's why it doesn't need Input Monitoring or Accessibility permission.
- Your settings stay on your Mac. The keyboards you've saved, the layout for each one and your default layout are stored in Keyflip's own settings on your Mac. Deleting the app deletes them.
- Notifications are local. If you use "Ask first", the notification is created on your Mac. Nothing is sent through a server.
- No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no third-party code that tracks you.
Keyflip runs in Apple's App Sandbox. Its App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected".
Buying Keyflip
Keyflip is sold through the Mac App Store. Apple handles the purchase, and we don't receive your name, email address or payment details. Apple's own privacy policy covers that part.
This website
keyflip.app is a plain static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
The pages load their fonts from Google Fonts. When you visit, your browser connects to Google's servers to download them, so Google receives your IP address and browser details, as with any website you visit. See Google's privacy policy.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
